One of Josh Basile’s caregivers, Paul Oni, helps put Basile into bed. Basile was paralyzed in 2004 when a wave slammed his body head-first into the hard sand of a Delaware beach, shattering the fifth vertebra from the top of his spine. Now, a team of three round-the-clock aides help him navigate his daily life.
